David Scherr

David Scherr, PhD, is a versatile and goal-driven researcher currently serving as a Senior Scientist at AstraZeneca, where they focus on downstream process development for therapeutics. David's expertise includes bioprocessing technology, metabolic engineering, and protein characterization, with previous roles as Associate Director of Bioprocessing and Process Development at Fina BioSolutions LLC. They earned a PhD in Biological Systems Engineering from Virginia Tech, where their thesis explored high-throughput screening methods in biological systems. Prior to their doctoral studies, David completed a BS in Biochemistry/Chemistry at the University of Miami.
