David Wilson

David Wilson is the Vice President and Global Head of Oncology Chemistry & DMPK at AstraZeneca, where they lead a department focused on pioneering small molecule drug discovery and advancing oncology portfolios. With over a decade of senior leadership experience in the pharmaceutical industry, David has held influential roles at various global companies, including GlaxoSmithKline and Johnson & Johnson. Their career has been distinguished by strategic leadership in drug discovery, contributing to the development of 30 clinical drug candidates and innovative modalities such as PROteolysis TArgeting Chimeras (PROTACs) and molecular glues. David earned a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Leeds and previously engaged in anti-cancer research during a postdoctoral fellowship at Florida State University.
