Dr Prashanth Basavanna

Dr. Prashanth Basavanna is currently the Medical Director of Global Patient Safety at AstraZeneca R&D. They have held multiple roles within AstraZeneca, including Associate Medical Director and Global Safety Physician. Prior to joining AstraZeneca, Dr. Basavanna worked as a Medical Safety Advisor in Pharmacovigilance at IQVIA and served as a Consultant Diabetologist at the Karnataka Institute of Diabetology. They earned their MBBS and Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) in Internal Medicine from Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute.
