Duane Hassane

Duane Hassane currently serves as the Senior Director and Head of Translational Omics in Hematology R&D at AstraZeneca since April 2024. Previously, Duane worked at Weill Cornell Medicine from January 2012 to June 2020, where roles included Assistant Professor of Computational Biomedicine and Director of Leukemia Genomics at the Englander Institute for Precision Medicine, focusing on molecular profiling strategies and early detection studies in acute myeloid leukemia. Between September 2023 and April 2024, Duane acted as a Strategic Advisor at Zero-to-One and held the position of Vice President of Cardiology & Oncology at Tempus AI from June 2020 to August 2023, emphasizing precision medicine portfolio development in oncology. Educational qualifications include postdoctoral studies in cancer genomics from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry and a Ph.D. in Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine.
