Esther Jacobs

Esther Jacobs is an Associate Principal Scientist currently engaged in preclinical formulation and analytical drug development of small molecules at AstraZeneca. They earned a First-Class BSc in Pharmaceutical Sciences and a PhD focusing on hot-melt extrusion of enabling formulations, including amorphous solid dispersions and nanoparticles, from Queen's University Belfast. Previously, they contributed as a Postgraduate Researcher at Queen's University Belfast, where they explored the thermodynamics of phase separation for oral drug delivery systems. Esther also gained valuable industry experience during a placement with Capsugel, where they assessed environmental factors affecting gelatin capsules.
