Fernando Navarro

Fernando Navarro is an Image Data Scientist with a robust background in medical imaging and deep learning. They served as a Visiting Research Scientist at the University of Zurich from 2021 to 2022, where they developed deep learning segmentation algorithms for extensive datasets. Prior to that, they were a Research Scientist at the Technical University Munich from 2018 to 2023, focusing on automatic segmentation of organs at risk for radiation therapy planning. Currently, Fernando works as the Associate Director of Clinical Biomarker Solutions at AstraZeneca. They earned a PhD in Image-Based Biomedical Modeling and a Master's degree in Biomedical Computing, both from the Technical University Munich, and completed a Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics Engineering at Universidad de Guanajuato.
