Gary Sims

Gary Sims is a Senior Director of Immunology at AstraZeneca, where they have overseen scientific leadership in the development of therapeutic antibodies for treating autoimmune diseases since 2022. Gary has over 13 years of experience in the drug development industry, primarily with MedImmune, and 10 years of postdoctoral research experience. They earned a BSc in Biological Sciences from The University of Birmingham and a PhD in Infection and Immunity from The University of Glasgow. Prior to their current roles, Gary conducted research at the University of Glasgow and the National Institutes of Health, focusing on autoimmune disorders.
