Hannah Semple

Hannah Semple is currently the External Screen Lead at AstraZeneca, where they support the Open Innovation portfolio and manage MRC-funded high throughput screens that assist UK academics in drug discovery. They previously served as a Research Scientist and Senior Research Scientist at AstraZeneca, focusing on high throughput screening, and volunteered as a Laboratory Scientist for the UK Lighthouse Lab Network during the COVID-19 pandemic. Hannah holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Natural Sciences from Lancaster University and a Master’s Degree in Biomedical Sciences Research from the University of Bristol, both with high honors. Earlier experience includes roles as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Evotec and serving as Publicity Officer for the Lancaster University Natural Sciences Society.
