Hector De Leon is currently the Director of Scientific Publications at AstraZeneca, where the team focuses on delivering high-quality, evidence-based content in Early Oncology. Previously, Hector served as a Medical Writer at Ethicon, Inc. and held various positions, including Research Scientist at the University of Arizona College of Medicine and Assistant Professor at Morehouse School of Medicine, where they led a research program in vascular biology. Hector also contributed as a Senior Scientist at Entelos, Inc., developing in silico models for cardiovascular diseases, and as a Senior Staff Scientist at PMI Science, where they directed multidisciplinary teams to identify cardiovascular disease biomarkers. Hector obtained a Master’s degree in Pharmacology from the Instituto Politécnico Nacional.
