Hyojin Kim is a skilled genome engineer with over 10 years of experience in molecular technology development and modeling genetic disorders in animal models. Hyojin worked at ETH Zürich as a Scientific and Senior Scientific Employee from 2013 to 2018, utilizing CRISPR/Cas9 for synthetic biology and supervising students. From 2018 to 2021, Hyojin served as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at The Institute of Cancer Research, developing ex vivo cancer models and custom CRISPR/Cas9-based screening platforms. Currently, Hyojin is an Associate Principal Scientist at AstraZeneca, following a tenure as a Senior Scientist there from 2021 to 2024. Hyojin holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and a PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Seoul National University.
