Ian Hirsch possesses extensive experience in the field of statistics, primarily within the pharmaceutical industry, having held significant positions at AstraZeneca since October 2009, including Head of Biometrics for Vaccines and Immune Therapies and Executive Director of Statistics. Prior to this, Ian served as a Principal Statistician at Pfizer from October 2006 to September 2009, and worked as a Statistical Assessor at the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency from January 2005 to September 2006. Ian’s career in statistics began at Pfizer from 1999 to 2005 as a Statistician. Ian holds a PhD in Statistics and Modelling Science from the University of Strathclyde, an MSc in Statistical Analysis and Stochastic Systems from The University of Manchester, and a BSc in Mathematics from the University of Leeds.
