Inês Maximiano

Inês Maximiano is currently the Enterprise AI Governance Policy Manager at AstraZeneca, where they focus on the intersection of artificial intelligence and policy. They previously held roles as a Programmes Officer at Lawyers for Justice in Libya and at A4ID, as well as serving as a Research Assistant for the International State Crime Initiative, where they analyzed data concerning the Rohingya massacres. Inês has also worked as a Senior Policy Officer at the Information Commissioner's Office, specializing in AI and Data Science, and briefly as a Research Officer for The Human Rights, Big Data and Technology Project. Inês earned a Master's degree in Human Rights from UCL and a Bachelor's degree in International Relations and History from SOAS University of London.
