Ion Cotarla

Ion Cotarla, MD PhD, is the Medical Director of Immuno-Oncology at AstraZeneca, where they focus on HNSCC and other solid tumors. Ion previously served as a Medical Science Liaison in Oncology at AstraZeneca and was a Senior Clinical Research Coordinator at Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center. They earned their Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Iuliu Haţieganu” and a Ph.D. in Tumor Biology from Georgetown University.
