Irita Karmalkar

Irita Karmalkar is a Global Performance Excellence Director with extensive experience in clinical operations within the oncology sector. They began their career as a Clinical Research Coordinator in 2009 and have held various roles at AstraZeneca since 2015, including Director of Clinical Operations Canada. Irita earned a Master’s degree in Biotechnology Enterprise and Entrepreneurship from The Johns Hopkins University and holds a B.Sc (Hons.) in Pharmaceutical Biotechnology from the University of Ontario Institute of Technology, along with a Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Research from Humber College. Currently, they continue to advance clinical operations in their role at AstraZeneca.
