James Cheng is currently the Head of Human Resources at AstraZeneca, overseeing HR operations in Hong Kong and Macau since 2024. Previously, James served as the HRBP Lead for Central Functions at DFI Retail Group from 2021 to 2023, and held the role of Senior Human Resources Advisor at Mourant from 2019 to 2021. Earlier in their career, James worked as a Human Resources Officer at Gammon Construction Limited, and was a Senior Officer in Recruitment with Ernst & Young before advancing to Manager at PwC. James is currently pursuing a Master of Management in Human Resources at Macquarie Graduate School of Management and holds a BBA in Finances and Economics from Simon Fraser University.
