James Root is a Clinical Information Science Associate Director for Late-Stage Development in Respiratory & Immunology. With extensive experience as an in vitro/ex vivo pharmacologist, James has worked on drug discovery from target identification through to early clinical phases, possessing strong skills in human tissue acquisition and translational research. Previously, James held roles at AstraZeneca and Pfizer, leading in vitro pharmacology projects and contributing to significant advances in drug development. James earned a BSc with honors in Biochemistry and Pharmacology from the University of Southampton.
