James Ryan is an experienced health economics leader currently serving as the Director of Global HTA Policy, HTA and Modelling Science at AstraZeneca. With a demonstrated history in the pharmaceuticals industry, they hold a strong passion for patient access and are skilled in health economics, applied pharmacoeconomics, payer evidence development, and health technology assessment. Prior to their current role, they worked at Bayer as a Senior Health Economist, and at Mapi Values and DRG Abacus in health economics consulting. James earned a BA(Hons) in Economics from the University of Nottingham, followed by an MSc in Health Economics from the University of York, where they also served as a Research Fellow.
