Jim McDermott is the Global Medical Head for CVRM, bringing extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Previously, they held leadership roles at AstraZeneca, including Vice President of US Medical Affairs for Diabetes and various executive director positions in medical affairs and product development. McDermott started their career at Astra Merck and Astra Pharmaceuticals, where they focused on neuroscience and cardiology. They earned a Ph.D. in Physiology from The George Washington University and are currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Biology at the University of San Diego.
