Jin Xu

Jin Xu is a Senior Scientist at AstraZeneca since April 2021, specializing in the development of high-productivity and high-quality upstream processes for AAV and lentivirus production, leading to significant improvements in titer and productivity. Prior to this role, Jin Xu worked as a Scientist at Vigene Biosciences (now part of Charles River) from June 2020 to April 2021, focusing on evaluating upstream processes, ensuring technology transfer, and developing seed train and bioreactor processes. Jin Xu holds a PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Maryland Baltimore, a Master of Science in Marine Estuarine Environmental Sciences from the University of Maryland, and a Bachelor's degree in Biological Engineering from South-Central University for Nationalities.
