Jo Rao

Jo Rao possesses a diverse professional background with experience in research, project management, and organizational development. Currently serving as Associate Director at AstraZeneca since February 2024, Jo has held significant roles including Chief of Staff at Wysa and Organizational Development Lead at DayToDay Health. Prior to these positions, Jo worked as a Research Associate at the Institute for Behavioral Health, focusing on co-occurring disabilities and opioid use disorders, and managed projects at PhenomenArts, specializing in art and architecture for healthcare settings. Additionally, Jo demonstrated leadership as the Local Group Lead for Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America in San Diego, founding and growing the local chapter dedicated to advocating for gun sense policies. Academic qualifications include a Master of Science in Health Policy Analysis from The Heller School for Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University and a Master of Arts in Communications from the University of Chicago.
