John Longshore, Ph.D., FACMG, has over 30 years of experience in precision medicine, molecular genetics, and oncology diagnostics. They began their career as the Director of Molecular Genetics at the Greenwood Genetic Center from 1996 to 2001, and subsequently led the Molecular Pathology department at the Carolinas Pathology Group until 2021, managing operations for a comprehensive molecular pathology laboratory. After serving as an independent consultant for eight years, delivering impactful services to numerous pharmaceutical and diagnostic clients, John joined AstraZeneca in 2021 as the Head of Scientific Affairs for Global Oncology Diagnostics, where they currently lead the development of innovative oncology diagnostic strategies. They are dedicated to enhancing global biomarker testing accuracy and accessibility while promoting a healthy work-life balance.
