Jon Borman

Jon Borman is currently the Associate Director at AstraZeneca, where they manage a team focused on the development and validation of residual impurity methods and conduct impurity sample testing for various processes, including COVID vaccine analytical methods. Previously, Jon served as a Senior Manager in R&D at MedImmune from 2009 to 2021, where they chaired the Viral Safety Team and contributed to method transfers and characterizations for biologics. Their career began as an Associate Scientist at Life Technologies and transitioned to a Scientist QA/QC role at the J. Craig Venter Institute. Jon holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology and Cell Science from the University of Florida, which they earned in 1995.
