Julia Elvin currently serves as the Vice President and Head of Cancer Biomarker Development at AstraZeneca since June 2025. Prior to this role, Julia held various senior leadership positions at Foundation Medicine from January 2014 to June 2025, including Senior Vice President of Precision Oncology and Pathology & Diagnostic Medicine, as well as Associate Medical Director roles. Julia's earlier experience includes directorship in women's health and gynecologic pathology at ConVerge Diagnostic Services and Pathology Services, Inc., respectively, and a fellowship in Women's & Perinatal Pathology at Brigham and Women's Hospital. Education includes an MD and PhD in Molecular and Human Genetics from Baylor College of Medicine, where Julia also completed a Medical Scientist Training Program. Julia's research contributions include significant findings in ovarian cancer pathology that have influenced clinical approaches to risk reduction in high-risk populations.
