Kathy Ushakov

Kathy Ushakov is a seasoned professional in bioinformatics and computational biology, currently serving as a Product Owner at AstraZeneca since December 2023. Prior to this role, Kathy held positions as a Senior Bioinformatics Scientist at Exact Sciences - MCED and a Scientist in Computational Biology at Thrive Earlier Detection Corp. Experience also includes a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard and a Teaching Assistant at Tel Aviv University, where Kathy contributed to courses on biochemical and molecular medicine. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Human and Molecular Genetics from Tel Aviv University, an MSc in Biology from the University of Geneva, and a BSc in Pharmacology from University College London. Additional early experience includes research assistance and a tenure as a Junior Analyst in the Israel Defense Forces.
