Lena Ripa

Lena Ripa is the Director of Medicinal Chemistry at AstraZeneca, a position held since 2021, where they also serve as the Associate Director since 2019. They previously worked as a Team Leader in Medicinal Chemistry at AstraZeneca R&D from 2009 to 2011 and held a postdoctoral position at the University of Pittsburgh in 1998. Lena began their academic career as a Lecturer at Uppsala University, where they also earned a PhD in Medicinal Chemistry in 1997. They completed a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry at Lund University in 1990.
