Lewis Ward

Lewis Ward is a Senior Scientist at AstraZeneca, specializing in complex in vitro models for targeted oncology, including antibody-drug conjugates and small molecules. They develop and scale organoid/3D assays, utilizing high-content imaging and proliferation readouts to advance preclinical milestones. Lewis has expertise in machine-learning image analysis, combination studies, automation, and microfluidics, complemented by a PhD focused on the interactions of mesenchymal stromal cells with the inflammatory microenvironment. Prior to their current role, Lewis completed a BMedSc in Medical Science and worked as a Summer Student at Cancer Research UK, where they enhanced T-cell function in cancer research.
