Luke Flatt

Associate Principal Scientist at AstraZeneca

Luke Flatt is an Associate Principal Scientist at AstraZeneca, beginning a new role in the Applied Stem Cell Sciences group in October 2023, focusing on developing human relevant cell models for research and development. Previously, Luke served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Toxys from June 2021 to October 2023, working to reduce reliance on in vivo models for developmental toxicity through differentiation of human induced pluripotent stem cells. Luke held senior scientist positions at Charles River Laboratories and Sygnature Discovery from March 2020 to June 2021 and March 2018 to March 2020, respectively. Earlier academic contributions include a post-doctoral research associate/fellow role in human pluripotent stem cell biology at the University of Nottingham and project work on automation in stem cell culture quality monitoring.
