Magda Markowska

Magda Markowska is a Senior Statistician in Late Oncology at AstraZeneca, where they currently apply their statistical expertise to the field of oncology. Previously, Magda completed a PhD program focused on Next Generation Sequencing Technologies at the Medical University of Warsaw, investigating computational methods for predicting cancer therapy biomarkers. They also served as a Graduate Research Assistant at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, analyzing cancer single-cell sequencing datasets for phylogeny model development. Before pursuing a career in oncology, Magda was a Senior Project Manager and Senior Actuarial Analyst at Factum Sp. z o.o., leading teams and managing complex projects within the actuarial field. Magda holds a Bachelor's degree in Bioinformatics from the University of Warsaw and a Master's degree in Quantitative Methods and Computer Science from the SGH Warsaw School of Economics.
