Magnus Ysander is currently the EU Qualified Person for Pharmacovigilance (QPPV) at AstraZeneca, a position held since 2015. Prior to this, they served as Patient Safety Medical & Scientific Enablement Lead from 2008 to 2014, focusing on strategy and continuous improvement in pharmacovigilance. Magnus has extensive experience in drug safety roles at AstraZeneca R&D, having held several key positions from 2004 to 2006, including Section Director and Global Safety Physician. They are also pursuing a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree at the University of Gothenburg.
