Manisha Rao

Manisha Rao is currently the Associate Director at AstraZeneca in Translational Medicine. With over nine years of research experience, they transitioned from a biomedical engineer to a molecular oncology scientist. Manisha has worked as a Senior Scientist at AstraZeneca, leading efforts in developing single cell sequencing tools, and has held various research positions, including a Graduate Research Assistant at Stony Brook University, where they focused on pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma and breast cancer genetics. They earned a PhD in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from Stony Brook University and a Master's in Biotechnology from the University of Pennsylvania.
