Mark Lefers

Mark Lefers is an experienced analytical group leader and manager with over 13 years in peptide and protein biopharmaceutical development. They have contributed to multiple programs, including three FDA-approved products, showcasing their expertise in leading analytical development initiatives from inception to completion. Currently, Mark serves as the Director of Protein Characterization at AstraZeneca and has previously held positions at organizations such as Alexion Pharmaceuticals, Pfizer, and Abbott Laboratories. Mark earned a Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, and Cell Biology from Northwestern University, as well as a BS in Biology and Biochemistry from Calvin College.
