Markus Schade

Markus Schade is a Principal Scientist at AstraZeneca, specializing in drug design, 3D ligand conformation determination, and analytical chemistry. They previously served as a Scientific Director at Grünenthal and held positions at Pfizer and Evotec. Markus began their career as VP of NMR Drug Discovery at Combinature Biopharm AG and has extensive experience in fragment-based drug discovery and project leadership. They earned a Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Biophysics, and Molecular Biology with summa cum laude honors from Freie Universität Berlin.
