Mattea Thompson

Mattea Thompson, PhD, is the Global Scientific Director at AstraZeneca, specializing in Oncology Medical Training. With a broad background in medical science and technical writing, Mattea has held roles such as Medical Manager at Biogen and Medical Science Liaison at both Moderna and Merck Canada. Mattea’s extensive experience includes a stint as a Technical Writer at Apotex Inc. and teaching Classical Piano, demonstrating versatility in both science and the arts. Mattea is currently pursuing a PhD in Neuroscience at McMaster University, where they also obtained a Bachelor of Sciences Honours in Life Sciences.
