Matthew Cheeks

Matthew Cheeks, PhD, MBA, is a Senior Director at AstraZeneca, overseeing a team of over 30 employees and guiding the development of a bispecific oncology asset. Previously, they served as Director of Biopharmaceutical Development at AstraZeneca, where they led technical process development for large molecule biologics and managed a team of 15. With extensive experience in bioprocessing, they have held leadership roles at Polpharma Biologics and Lonza, focusing on the industrial production of therapeutic proteins. Matthew earned their PhD in Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology from the University of Cambridge and holds both an MBA and MSc with distinctions from renowned institutions.
