Matthew King

Matthew King is an Associate Principal Scientist at AstraZeneca, specializing in cell biology within drug discovery, particularly in oncology and immuno-oncology. They completed a BA in Natural Sciences with a focus on Genetics at Trinity College, Dublin, followed by a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Cambridge. King has held various research roles, including postdoctoral positions at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and Dublin City University, where they led projects on neurodegenerative diseases and novel therapeutics. At AstraZeneca, they are currently focusing on small molecule immuno-oncology and developing new targets and modalities in Oncology Bioscience.
