Matthew Perry

Matthew Perry is a Principal Research Chemist at AstraZeneca, with a rich background in medicinal chemistry and project leadership spanning several decades. They began their career as a Royal Society European Research Fellow at Universite Catholique de Louvain, later serving in various roles at AstraZeneca, Astra Pharmaceuticals, and Fisons Pharmaceuticals, contributing to drug discovery in respiratory diseases, immunology, and inflammation. Matthew holds a BA and PhD in Chemistry from the University of Oxford and has extensive experience in library design and managing outsourced chemistry projects. They have successfully led multiple drug-discovery initiatives, including the nomination of a development candidate in late 2016.
