Michael Kierny

Michael Kierny, PhD, is currently a Senior Scientist at AstraZeneca, where they leverage six years of experience in recombinant antibody engineering, primarily utilizing Phage and Ribosome display technologies. Previously, they held roles at AstraZeneca as an Associate Scientist II and Scientist I, and completed an internship at Roche focused on Antibody Drug Conjugates. Michael earned their PhD in Molecular Biology from the University of Illinois at Chicago, where they worked on generating affinity reagents and furthered their research through a postdoctoral position that aimed to commercialize novel recombinant antibody generation methods. They began their academic journey with a B.S. in Molecular Biology from Iowa State University.
