Michael Pluta is an experienced statistician with a strong background in statistical consultancy and development within the pharmaceutical and diagnostics industries. At QIAGEN from April 2013 to October 2016, Michael advanced the Statistics department from a small team to a larger group, taking on significant responsibilities for statistical and programming elements of studies. Following this, Michael joined AstraZeneca in April 2020 as a Senior Statistician and progressed to the role of Statistical Science Associate Director in July 2023. Prior to AstraZeneca, Michael worked at Quanticate as a Senior Statistician II and Senior Statistician I from April 2019 to April 2020. Michael holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics with Statistics and a Master of Science in Statistics, both from Lancaster University.
