Mikhail Kosiborod is the Senior Vice President of Late-stage Development for Cardiovascular and Renal Metabolism (CVRM) at AstraZeneca, a position held since 2025. Mikhail also serves as the Executive Director at the Cardiometabolic Center Alliance and the Vice President for Research at Saint Luke's Health System, both of which are roles assumed in 2020 and 2019, respectively. Previously, Mikhail was an Associate Professor at Saint Luke's Mid America Heart Institute, University of Missouri Kansas City from 2009 to 2013 and has held various academic positions including Professor and Assistant Professor of Medicine. Mikhail earned a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai from 1993 to 1997.
