Natasha Karp is an experienced biostatistician and researcher with a robust academic and professional background. Currently serving as the Director of Biostatistics at AstraZeneca since October 2019, Natasha leads a team in delivering pre-clinical statistical support for both in vivo and in vitro research. Natasha has also contributed to the NC3Rs as an Experimental Design Working Group Member since 2011. Previous roles include Associate Principal Scientist and Senior Research Statistician at AstraZeneca, University Teaching Associate and Research Associate at the University of Cambridge, and Senior Biostatistician at the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute. Natasha began a career in science education as a Secondary School Science Teacher and later worked as an R&D Scientist at Affinity Sensors Ltd. Natasha holds a PhD in Chemistry from Imperial College London, a BSc in Biochemistry from the University of Warwick, and a PGCE in Science from the University of Cambridge.
