Nuo Xu

Nuo (Peter) Xu is a Senior Scientist at AstraZeneca since November 2020, bringing extensive research experience in immunology and cancer treatment. Prior to this role, Nuo served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where significant projects included studying the efficacy of STING agonists on T cells and leading a primary project that involved developing and optimizing anti-HER2 CAR-T cell therapies for breast tumors. Nuo also contributed to the study of immune checkpoint inhibitors and drug discovery efforts to enhance T cell persistence. Nuo's academic qualifications include a PhD in Microbiology and Immunology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an MS in Biotechnology from Northwestern University. Nuo completed a BS in Biotechnology at South China Agricultural University.
