Patrick O'Shea, PhD MRSB, is currently the Associate Director at AstraZeneca, focusing on molecular diagnostics and precision medicine. With a strong background in drug discovery and development, Patrick has held various roles at AstraZeneca, including Senior Scientist and Lab Head at the UK COVID-19 Assessment Centre. Prior to joining AstraZeneca, Patrick was a Post-doctoral Research Fellow at both Imperial College London and the National Cancer Institute, where they pursued research on thyroid hormone receptors. Patrick earned a PhD in Physiology and Molecular Biology from Imperial College London and a BSc in Pharmacology from the University of Leeds.
