Peter D Smith

Peter D. Smith is a Director of New Modalities Chemistry in AstraZeneca's Early Chemical Development Group. They previously held positions at Zeneca Agrochemicals as a Synthetic Chemist and served as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Sussex. From 2002 to 2012, they were a Senior Research Scientist at AstraZeneca, focusing on the planning and delivery of non-GMP active pharmaceutical ingredients. Peter earned a PhD in the synthesis of pipecolic acid derivatives from Heriot-Watt University and holds a 1st Class BSc in Chemistry from The University of Glasgow.
