Peter L.P. Smith

Peter L.P. Smith is a seasoned professional in clinical regulatory writing, currently serving as the Director of Clinical Regulatory Writing, Programme Lead, and Line Manager at AstraZeneca since 2022. They previously held various roles at AstraZeneca, including Principal Medical Communications Scientist and Senior Medical Communications Scientist, where they led cross-functional teams and managed strategic medical communications for regulatory submissions. Peter earned a PhD in Medical Science from the University of Gothenburg, focusing on central and systemic inflammation in developmental brain injury, and published multiple scientific articles throughout their academic career.
