Peter Shand

Peter Shand is the Oncology Corporate Affairs Lead for AstraZeneca in the UK, a position held since 2025. Prior to this role, Peter served as Associate Director and Director of Government Affairs at Gilead Sciences from 2020 to 2022. Peter has held various positions in public affairs, including Senior Public Affairs Manager at Danone and several roles at Hanover Communications, where they advanced through various leadership titles. Earlier in their career, Peter worked as a Project Officer at the Royal Town Planning Institute and had positions at ResPublica and Whitehouse Consultancy. Peter earned a Bachelor of Arts in Politics from the University of Leicester in 2010.
