Rickard Thernström

Rickard Thernström is currently the New Technology Introduction Director at AstraZeneca, where they lead a cross-functional team to establish new technology supporting future inhaled pipeline needs. Rickard has a broad background in both automotive and pharmaceutical manufacturing, with strong lean leadership and coaching capabilities. Previously, they held various director roles at AstraZeneca, overseeing the manufacturing and supply of inhaled products and managing new product introductions. Rickard's earlier experience includes multiple plant management positions at Scania, focusing on manufacturing and assembly processes. They hold a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Kungliga Tekniska Högskolan and participated in the Supply Professionalism Postgraduate Programme at the University of Warwick.
