Rob Alcock

Rob Alcock has a diverse background in engineering and volunteer work, currently contributing to the Motive Power Department at Churnet Valley Railway since January 2007 as both a project leader and a Steam and Diesel locomotive driver. Prior experience includes various roles at AstraZeneca, from a Maintenance Engineer Apprentice to several technician positions, culminating in a Maintenance Technician role focused on Total Productive Maintenance deployment. Rob’s educational journey includes a Mechanical Engineering Foundation Degree, 11 GCSEs from Biddulph High School, and ongoing studies toward an Electro-Mechanical Engineering Degree at the University of Nottingham, expected to be completed in 2027.
