Ryan Demers

Ryan Demers is currently the Global Diagnostics Director, Lung and Liquid Biopsy Strategy at AstraZeneca, where they leverage over a decade of experience in life sciences communications, marketing, and research. They previously held multiple roles at AstraZeneca, including Senior Manager and Director in Oncology diagnostics, and have also worked at Athena Diagnostics and LifeLabs Medical Laboratory Services. Ryan earned a BSc. Hons. in Biological Science and an M.Sc. in Biophysics from the University of Guelph, where they also served as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant and Laboratory Technician. With a thorough knowledge in cancer biology, infectious diseases, and protein biochemistry, Ryan excels in synthesizing and communicating complex scientific information for diverse audiences.
