Ryan Kramer

Ryan Kramer has extensive experience in pharmaceutical science, primarily focusing on drug product design, development, and formulation. As of May 2024, Ryan serves as the Director of Vaccines & Immune Therapies at AstraZeneca, following a tenure as Senior Director of Formulation Development at a venture-backed company. Previous roles include Principal Scientist at Pfizer and Associate Principal Scientist at Merck, where expertise was applied in vaccine drug product development. Ryan’s career also includes significant experience at the Infectious Disease Research Institute, where responsibilities expanded across various scientific and managerial roles in process and product development. Educationally, Ryan holds a PhD in Biochemistry from Texas A&M University and engaged in postdoctoral research at the University of Kansas. Ryan specializes in parenteral drug product formulation, analytical development, and stability testing of both liquid and lyophilized protein-based pharmaceuticals.
