Ryan Wong

Ryan Wong is currently the Senior Director of the Cell Therapy Programme and Collaboration Lead at AstraZeneca, where they focus on the development of novel CAR T cell therapies. Previously, Ryan worked at TC Biopharm Ltd, specializing in gamma delta T cell therapies for cancer treatment, and held leadership positions at Adaptimmune, where they led the Universal T cell group aimed at creating off-the-shelf T cell products. Ryan's early career included a research scientist role at the Medical Research Council, investigating cancer-related bioactive compounds. Ryan holds a Bachelor of Science in Immunology and Infection from the University of Edinburgh and a PhD in T cell immunology and cancer from Cardiff University.
